Our module options for temperature control guarantee precise sterilisation processes and the highest media quality: in many cases, thermal stress can have an enormous impact on the quality of the culture media. This is why it is important to protect temperature-sensitive media from damage caused by overheating. But a reliable temperature sensor is also essential when autoclaving larger volumes of liquid in order to ensure the safety of your staff during autoclaving.
MT media temperature control
Media temperature control in VARIOKLAV autoclaves is achieved via a flexible temperature sensor, which is installed directly in the reference vessel. With this, the module guarantees efficient and precise autoclaving by automatically triggering the sterilisation time based on the media temperature. The set temperature can thus be precisely maintained throughout the entire sterilisation process, allowing all temperature-controlled sterilisation processes to be carried out with the utmost precision. The MT media temperature control unit is already integrated in our RM and RG cooling modules.
Magnetic stirrer for liquid sterilisation goods
To ensure that the temperature is evenly distributed, even in larger quantities of liquid sterile material, our magnetic stirrer continuously circulates the liquid throughout the sterilisation process. This minimises the risk of temperature stratification – hot at the top, cold at the bottom – and noticeably shortens the heating time, enabling specified sterilisation times to be precisely adhered to. Documentation of the thermal load resulting from sterilisation is done via the temperature control
